I’m turning 16 and I have 11,000 cash saved. I’m looking for a Japanese sports car. I was looking at an impreza or a lancer. But used imprezas are way up there, or there crappy with 100,000 miles. I could go on what I don’t like about lancers forever. I’m just looking for suggestions and maybe some explanations. And im pretty intelligent with anything that has to do with cars, just need some pointers. And I dont care that the car has 4 doors and isnt considered a "sports car".

Older Supra or brand new Scion tC.

Pay no attention to the "buy American, keep the money here crowd". There's no such thing as an American car as most of the domestics have moved south of the boarder because of the UAW.

Cars are bad investments.
If you are 16 with 11 grand, the I suggest buying a 4to 5 thousand $ car and keeping your money. It will come in handy down the road. Cars only depreciate in value and you will be losing money in the long run. Oh well, just my opinion. Sorry no advice on what cars to buy.

Do not buy a foriegn car, I repeat do not buy a foriegn car. Buy a Chevrolet, I would not own anything else, I've got 300,000 miles out of one and have two with over 100,000 miles still going strong.

Depending on your credit you could use that 11k for the downpayment and just get a car on a payment plan.
