I would think so. My aunt did, they had a real fight to prove it was for real with immigration, they thought he just wanted a visa, anyway, they are really happy now. Although there will be gullible ladies out there, most are aware that lots of people want to find marriage within the UK for passport reasons. Also, the authorities are more than aware, and will catch you out ifyou aren't genuine.

The UK has some of the strictest immigration and settlement policies in the world - Just because you marry a British woman does not mean that they will give you a visa on a silver platter.
My fiance has been turned down 3 times for a holiday Visa to the UK - thankfully we are getting married next March but we are under no illusion that they will give it to us easily!

why do you want a lady from the UK? there are women all over the world.
