I keep on hearing a little squeak coming from my computer, sometimes it freezes, sometimes it doesn't. It usually is just a matter of time until it does in fact freeze, or automatically restart. Usually, windows will not even boot up after the loading screen, so I restart, and choose boot with last workign setting. It works for a bit, then it will freeze up again. I have no idea what the problem is, but I came down to a few possibilities. Maybe I need a new power source? I have fans cooling my computer. Sometimes, it will have quick lockups with the mouse. Could it be my memory? Ugh, help please =)

See as u say there is some kind of noise u should check the source of sound.

If it from ur HD be ready to replace and try saving data as soon as possible.
It can be the sound of broken head of the HD..

Get your Computer checked with utility software available on download.com name is "XP manager" Don't try all feature try which is needed like System file checker under Optimizer.

I suppose there is problem with the Mother board configuration,
U can reinstall the motherboard drivers which u have received from the vendor do it under the help of some technician or ask them to do it.

Check for possible Virus attack with Virus check software the best available.

Download malicious software removal tool from Microsoft and scan the entire system.

try out this if it doesn't resolve the problem detected ultimately u need the serious help of the vendor of ur PC.

don't try experimenting with bit knowledge.

Thanks,

Kapil

It sounds like possibly your internal fan is kicking the bucket. Run a diagnostic on it to find out the issue. PC WORLD.com has some diagnostic tools available for download.
