the translation of the word son during Jesus time is different than what people understand today. but christians are too stubborn to believe different.
Jesus is the son of Mary Not God. Jesus is a honor servant to God.

Those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God are those who are destined for Glory. Man cannot imagine the beauty, and wonder of all that awaits the Sons and Daughters of Glory.

I do not, at all, think Jesus is divine in any way, or "related" to any divine.
I think of Jesus as sort of a Gahdhi of his time - a decent guy, a reformer, who was born, did some stuff, and then died - fully human, but left this earth doing some nice stuff - do you think Gandhi was the son of God?

I do. That is the basis of salvation that you believe that Jesus Christ was born of God in the flesh from a virgin died on the cross and arose on the third day victorious over death.
Here are just a few verses from the Bible. There are many many more. God Bless
Matthew 16:15-17
15He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
John 3:15-17
15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Romans 8:3 "For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:"

"Son of God", is simply an analogy to emphasize a close relation. Not necessarily like father and son or mother and daughter or husband and wife, but a relation that comes closer, perhaps like being one and the same person.
