theres this really cute guy i like at work and i told one of my friends and they tried helping me out by going to tell him that i like him, and oh Gosh! that didnt seem to help it was very awkward coz i dont really talk to him and im a bit shy ,ok so a few weeks went by and i thought that him knowing that i liked him he would come and talk to me so nothing happened and i decided to tell him i was just joking that i didnt like him, yeah right! ok my problem is i cant get over him especially when i see him at work plus he is 2 yrs younger...what should i do?

I have to same prob. It's hard reading the signs. I'm shy too so I think that you should just try your hardest to talk to him. What's the worst that could happen? He might not like u? Well then you'll have to deal and move on. It's not gonna ruin your life right?

look talk to him be honest tell him exactly how you feel, don't be put off by him not asking you out. he may have and may still be in a relationship already.
the worst he can say is no he is not interested, or report you for sexual harrasament. but thats the worst.
you will not have helped yourself by saying you were just joking as he may now think your playing games or using him as the butt of some sort of office joke.
try emailing him (his private email from your private email. not from any internal mail system at your company as most employers monitor all internalk and external messages and communications these days.
the same way you would not use your office computer to access your bank account as your network administrator can monitor every keystroke on the systems to help track faults in most cases or so i'm told these days.

go after him. the fact you're concerned with him being two years younger shows you are new to relationships. you will likely go out with many people before you find the right one. even then people change over the years. my wife is 11 years older than me. we had five great years but are now going through a rough time. you never know what tomorrow holds. take a chance before it is gone.

get over the age thing first, it really does not matter unless he is 12
if you are 18 or over and he is 16, be careful
if you are 20 and he is 18, enjoy your whole life is ahead of you, dont let a little thing like two years get in the way of your happiness.
