There is not one single shred of evidence that one organism "evolves" into another. So, it is completely untrue that man evolved from apes. You can disagree but where is your scientific evidence?
If people dig up my bones 2 million years from now, they will be exactly the same as I am now. If other sentient beings do so they will pontificate on the nature of sentience in multiple species.....a luxury we don't currently have, being the only sentient species currently known.
This is no joke. There is alot of non-scientific evidence in the form of various myths and legends that are present in every culture, that suggest humans were not the only sentient species to have existed....merely the latest one.

As a Pastor and lifelong Christian, I am not offended when someone claims that humans evolved from apes. Such things don’t offend me. I will point out though, I do not believe in the theory (Which at this point in time is still just and idea that cannot be totally proven by any reasonable doubt what so ever.) of evolution at all. I do believe in God creating the universe. I don’t understand why so many school systems today only teach the theory of evolution (when it is still just a theory and not proven fact) and not creation as well. A perfect solution to this long and heated debate would be to teach both and let the young children make up their own minds on the subject. Kids are a lot smarter than others tend to believe. I do not believe that any Scientist or Archeologist will ever find that so called "Missing link". Why? They have been long for it for centuries. - Beacuse it doesn't exist.

Your ancestor was an ape, but not like the ones we have today--like when you think of gibbons, gorillas, bonobos etc. Apes split from the tree and have been evolving in their own way for as long as humans.
Our ancestors were Hominids. Which ones are still up for debate.
I have often wondered what future generetions--and species--will think of us! I wonder if any would have any type of pride to be descended from Homo sapiens . . .

I have no problem with my 'roots' so to speak.... primates (all of us) are really cool, well adapted and intelligent creatures. I doubt very much that there will be anyone, Homo Sapiens or otherwise) around in two million years to dig up my bones.... maybe some alien race but nobody from here. I'm sure we will have destroyed the planet by then.

Not at all! Look into Bonobo chimpanzees - amazing creatures, and so much like humans!
I get more offended when people compare GWB to an ape - apes are far more intelligent, kind, and light years ahead of that amoeba of a president.

No, because the ape isn't my ancestor. The ape and the human share an evolutionary ancestor, but one didn't evolve from the other.

Why should I be offended? I believe in God but if God wanted me to evolve from an ape, that's his business.
