I'm Sure they are available at kennel supply stores but a propery placed and tightened rubber band does the job well.

I not real sure about this will look around. I have know people that have docked their puppies tails when they were young, not a pretty sight. I not think I could do it.
Tails are docked within the first three days of a puppy's life
Here some places to check I not sure.
KV Vet Supply (800-423-8211, http://www.kvvet.com The website has some product information, but call to ask for the complete catalog. They carry commonly prescribed drugs and other supplies, such as toys, vitamins, and kennels. If you order $40.00 worth of supplies, the shipping is free (otherwise it's $5.00), so, again, you might want to order with some friends. Add tax for Nebraska residents.

J-B Wholesale (800-526-0388).

Care-A-Lot Pet Supply (800-343-7680). Friendly, fast, and good prices.
Drs. Foster & Smith (800-826-7206).

"KITS"???? HE** no! Scissors don't come in kits! LOL!
If you don't know that, you don't have any business doing-it-yourself!
Take em to vet before they're too old(3-5 DAYS!) & have it done!

Do you know the correct length?? Too short looks REALLY AWFUL!!
And, don't listen to the bleeding hearts...docking is NO BIG DEAL! DON'T forget the dewclaws!!!!

PS: "Animal lover" ??? Glad you mentioned you're 12.I was guessing 8 or 9!!! Don't fret...you'll grow up & get real someday.
