i read in a womens magazine that strawberries and baking powder did work... here's the recipe... mash 1 ripe strawberry to a pulp and mix w/ 1/2 tsp. baking POWDER. using a soft toothbrush, spread the mixture on your teeth, let sit 5 minutes, then brush as usual. the malic acid in strawberries acts as an astringent to dissolve surface stains on teeth, while the baking powder breaks into tiny particles to reach and remove deeper stains. use once a week for a picture perfect smile.

Baking Soda And Hydrogen Peroxide
Take 1 teaspoon of baking soda and add enough hydrogen peroxide to it to make a paste with the consistency of toothpaste. Although this mixture is one of better home remedies for whitening teeth, and is highly recommended, be careful using it.
Only mix up enough for one brushing at a time, use it right away, and discard any left-overs. Too much hydrogen peroxide could burn a little bit. Never keep this mixture in a sealed container.
