I love the Lord, but I dont know what he thinks about drugs, i believe that if you love the Lord your God with all your heart mind and soul, you will be blessed, and I dont think God will mind if you do it as long as you don't let it run your life, you put God first, and you don't do bad things to fit into the crowd, what do you think. I would like real answers. Please dont say stuff like "Quit smoking and you won't have to worry about it" Because that is stupid.

You hit on a point, I have struggled with and have questioned.

Your point of "not letting it run your life", is a common one. The Bible basically says "nothing in extremes, which leads us to rationalize that it is ok, if we just "keep it under control, and still read, pray, and be responsible. At times, I have even rationalized that I am a "work in progress", and God hasnt got to my maryjane or nicotine problem, yet. I also say, Jesus, himself, drank wine, I am sure not in excess, but I think that he had to have at least been relaxed and felt something from the wine. So can I? I also think he has not pruned that branch, but what about your body being the "Temple of God", and presenting your self "Holy and Blameless" before the Lord. What about "obeying the laws of the land", "taking up my cross, and following after Jesus".

Gotta remember that back then things were different than they are now...Many people believed in faith healing with some deity. And those that practiced differently were shunned or executed.

Drugs that harm the body and mind; or ones that change the person inside is against the rules. God says that he made you in his own image and you are not supposed to harm it. Now if you're sick and need special drugs to make you feel better, then that's fine, because God I don't think would be pleased if you died.

It must be OK to use drugs because when I visit the local drug stores I see thousands of prescriptions sitting on the shelf just waiting to be picked up by people and I am sure 50% of those people are Christians. Drugs are drugs whether written by a Doctor or bought off the street they do the same thing . Period. I SAY DON'T DO DRUGS !!!

The answer given by john s is correct. We get our word "pharmacy" from "pharmakeia." It's a scripture in Revelations. Says, in harsher words, that drug users will not go to Heaven.
Also, the Bible says that whoever destroys the body, he will also be destroyed, because the body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit in a Christian.

Genesis 30:14-17 Rachel says she'll let Leah have sex with her husband if she gives her his son's mandrakes. Mandrake is a narcotic plant. That's right, this is a drug deal in the Bible. Not only that, it's a drug deal for sex! No mention is made if Leah's son Reuben who found the mandrake plants was upset that his mother gave away his stash.
here's a couple links, stories in the bible about "Holy Ointment" smoked filled tents, temple and church elders getting baked, etc.

It says "All things in moderation" and "Treat your body as a temple of God".
I personally don't think doing drugs is treating your body as a temple of God, but then again, neither is overeating, exercising too much or too little.
Drugs have too many risks to do them in good conscience.

The bible doesn't actually say anything about drugs, but the law does. Breaking the law is not obeying the rules of christianity.

READ THIS!!!!!! IT'S A REAL ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I Corinthians 6:19-20 says, "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body." Drugs damage your brain. That is not honoring him with your body. That is defiling his temple (your body).

The bible says to be sober and vigilant because our adversary as a roaring lion goes about seeking whom he may devour. It also says not to harm the temple of God(our bodies).

Of what gain is it to disregard the health of your mind and body?
God or no God, the long term effects of recreational drug use , are well documented.
Why risk your mind unnecessarily?
