I would say that those are signs of depression. I have suffered from depression ever since a grade schooler. I am now in college, living on my own, and have a job. I would recommend you getting some help. The things you are going through, is exactly what I am going through and have gone through. I went to a doctor, they put me on medicine and hooked me up on counseling. Both the medicine and counseling has been a big help. If I were you, I would go to your local doctor ASAP and tell he or she what is going on. They can get you help than.

Feeling drained and not wanting to do anything are symptoms of depression. However that doesn't mean 100% that you've got depression. You should see a psychiatrist.
Treatments vary a lot and it is extremely dangerous to try something without a doctor's diagnosis and prescription.
Since the way you feel already has a negative impact on you go to the doctor and he's going to help you even if this is just a bad period for you and you don't have real depression.

Do you really feel as though you really need to be put on anti-depressants? I've been going through depression for years and taking medicine for years. On many different meds. But it could actually work for you, even though they haven't worked for me yet. If you don't have any Friends try to make friends. If your bored, find a way to not be bored. Your not being over dramatic, your just being you. We can't help being the way that we are. You may need some help but in a good way, not bad. We all could use some help sometimes.

I think you should seek help. It sounds serious to me. The part about feeling sad and depressed most of the time and having no friends...
Please get professional help as soon as possible.
I know we are almost upon the 4th so if your Dr isn't open, then go to the EMergency Room. Please don't worry about the cost. They are legally obligated to help you. And all public hospitals have a form of financial assistance. (Free Care) All the rules are different. Some hospitals will go "either free or full price" Others will offer 25% free or 50% free and so on..
Please do get help somewhere. ASAP.
I am on meds for anxiety/depression. I never knew I had it until I started on the meds. Now I feel so much better. The day to day frustrations, don't seem to get to me like they did.
I never realized until just last night that I feel like such a happier person.
May God Bless You.

When it comes to depresson usually if you suspect you have it you probably do but there are many degrees of depression not all need anti-depresants
they are the most widely MISprescribed drug on earth. doctors give them out just to shut some people up from complaning.
Educate yourslf but always seek medical attention if you really are depressed.
Everyone on earth experiences depression at some point in thier life but most dont need medication but just a real good friend to talk too.
Good luck

You do have symptoms of depression, but I guess you know that, or you wouldn't have asked the question.
I suggest you see a doctor. If you have clinical depression he will be able to diagnose you and prescribe the relevat medication. If not, he will alliviate your concern and help you find the real cause of you problem.

You sound like a angst-ridden teenager. Don't try antidepressants unless you show these kinds of signs when you are older than eighteen. For now, try to do what you know you should. Be social, get exercise, just try to be happy. Eat right and get exercise. All of that good stuff.

Go to your Primary Care Physician and tell him/her. They will be able to direct you to a psychotherapist. It doesn't hurt to talk to someone. Extreme fatique and a feeling of hoplessness are the first signs. Take this from someone with experience. Either way it can't hurt.

Stay away from antidepressants - it is a terrible thing. You can get easily addicted. please, do not think of it as your last resort.
Try to find out why you feel the way you do. Dig deep inside yourself even if it hurts. It is good sometimes. look for help first of all inside. you already know all the answers.
