How long do you boil baby back ribs before grilling them? I heard boil for 35 minutes? What do you suggest?

I found that if you boil ribs before you put them on the grill they get tough. So I put them on a cookie sheet that I use strictly on the grill. Put the ribs bone side up and use alittle water to keep them moist while they are cooking. After about 30 minutes turn them over, season them to taste. Finish baking them. About 15 minutes before serving brush them with b-b-q sauce if desired.

It is about 30 minutes but I never boil mine. The secret is is the marinade. you can any flavors you like but you have to add citric acid to it. lemon juice is the best but orange or grapefruit will work. A good soak for a couple of hours. Don't use so much to make the meat taste like the juice. Then just slow cook in foil on the grill for about a hour and then add your sauce. They will fall off the bone...

Please don't boil!Try this,Rub your ribs with your favorite dry rub.Put them on med.hot grill away from direct heat for 1 hour.Wrap in foil put back on grill for 30 min.Take out of foil cover with sauce and grill for 10 to 15 min. more.Works for me.

I brush them with barbecue sauce. Cover with foil and cook them in a very slow oven for about 1 hour.Then I finish them off on the grill.They come out moist and delicious!
