I never heard of John the Baptist killing anyone either. Where did you get that information from? I always thought that he was a good guy and he got beheaded for being just that! Geez, didn't he even baptize Jesus?

I see your reasoning. The son of man will not come until Elijah comes again and they knew it was John the Baptist. I read the bible a few times too much violence and hatred. One dimensional characters and contradiction.None of the "Bible Scholars" will understand this one.

Liar. Ole John the Baptists didn't kill anybody. It was Elijah who murdered 450 priests because they did not use his god's name for their god's name. The Baptist got his head chopped off. YICK!

If you are still alive, then read what GOD Almighty says about Prophet Yahya/ John, Peace be upon him in the Noble Quran:

Peace be upon him the day he (John/ Yahya) was born, and the day he dies, and the day he is raised up again alive. (19:15)

We responded to him and gave him (John/ Yahya), restoring for him his wife’s fertility. They outdid one another in good actions, calling out to Us in yearning and in awe, and humbling themselves to Us. (21:90)

The angels called out to him while he (Zakariyya) was standing in prayer in the Upper Room: ‘Allah gives you the good news of (John/ Yahya), who will come to confirm a Word from Allah, and will be a leader and a celibate, a Prophet and one of the righteous.’ (3:39)

(His Lord said,) ‘Zakariyya! We give you the good news of a boy named (John/ Yahya), a name we have given to no one else before.’ (19:7)

(John/ Yahya), take hold of the Book with vigour.’ We gave him judgement while still a child. (19:12)

a) Who says he killed anyone?
b) Who said to trust him? John points to Jesus, not himself.
