Why did Jesus ask GOD to forgive humans..... shouldnt we also pray to god not him.
If jesus was a prophet sent by god why do people worship him?
Why would God let his "son" or even a prophet be put through anything physically harsh, physical harship cannot surly mean anything to god .. he is God.
How can Jesus be God- the son of god- and a prophet ,human all at the same time?

All power that Jesus had , wasnt it given to him by God?

I mean no offense to anyone i'm just curious. please dont take offense>

For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, so that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Unfortunately Christianity and the reforms of it are vividly divided. Many Roman Catholics believe Jesus is the son of God and yet still equally God. And then there are some who only take Jesus as the son and nothing more.

The Christians are very divided thanks to many versions of the bible. I believe more than 100 flaws and contradictions can be found in the bible(s) because people (mad priests) have changed the original text and so the bible you and I may have could possibly be false. In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if the Pope popped out his own version in the coming years.

Anyways I take Jesus as a prophet. I am quite a rational person and God is also very rational. So tell me why would God even have need of a Son? God will never die so he needs no heir to take his place. God will never grow old so he needs no one to care for him in his old age. So why does He need a Son? It seems that the early Christians confused this Prophet as the son of God… dreadful sad that this beautiful religion is a walking contradiction. And yet we believe because we are empty and just need something to live for, so we turn to this and close are eyes when we see flaws.

Now the next part of this answer: Christians do not worship God as much as they worship Jesus because they are technically idolaters. My professor confessed that there was a time when churches wouldn’t allow pictures of Jesus because the worshippers would come to idol these images instead of God. And even the images of Jesus that comfort us so... could be false. The point is we are attached to the warm picture of blues eyes and golden hair so we cling to it… but we have no image of God… so we tend to love something that is in front of us than something we may never see. It’s just the human physce.

We are attached to what we see i.e. Jesus or the world and detached from what we don’t i.e. God or Heaven.

it's really waaay more complex than that. okay so i'm gonna put my ten years of catholic school knowledge to use (haha). okay so basically Jesus and God are one person. like the blessed trinity? father, son, and holy spirit, right? they're all one, but sorta different dimensions, if you will. Jesus didn't ASK god to forgive humans. keep in mind that God already knew what was gonna happen. humans have a need to "see it to believe it". jesus was the means of achieving that. THAT'S why he sent Jesus as a human. It's not like he was like, "whoa God, i'm gonna die?!" he knew about his sacrifice since he was a kid. there's several times in the Bible when he states that "His time hasn't come". the reason for God "putting his son through anything physically harsh" is because he RESURRECTED from the dead. THAT's the whole point of his living a human life. it's NOT that he was tortured, it's that he overcame death and opened "the gates of heaven". and that question about how Jesus can be God, Son of God, and prophet at the same time, don't even try to understand it. it's beyond human understanding and all we gotta do is have faith. haha. i may sound like a preacher right now, but seriously, i've tried so many times to get a straight answer but it's difficult to understand. FOR REAL.
by the by, this is the Catholic view of your question. i don't know if you're Catholic, but you know, if you're from another religion i don't wanna give you the wrong answer. so yeah. hope you kinda understand this.
OHH! about your first question about why we dont' pray to God: we DO pray to God. Jesus taught us the Our Father. which is directed towards, God, our Father.

:)
i'm not a weird religious person. i swear. i just thought you might like a thorough explanation of these questions. haha.

Jesus asked God to forgive humans, to show us the example he would like for us to follow. When we pray, we do pray to God, just thru Jesus. God put Christ thru such physical harsh because he wanted to show "us" just how much he loves us. If he were to do this to his only son, this alone should of proven to us that Jesus himself could of walked away from God and not gone thru this, ultimately showing us an example of no matter what we do, or the pain we suffer, God, (as long as we follow to the best we know) will always have a better place for us. We as the spectators see this happen, must wonder why anyone would suffer so much for the rest of the world, having to question that He must know there really is a Heavenly Father. Jesus is all three Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The trinity. If you were God, what would you do to get the world attention to make them believe in you? Certainly not have a get to know God party, who would remember that? But have a Son Killed in front of many, and STILL pray for the ones doing it. Now that I would remember! I personally just became a Christian a few years ago, and just as your question was to you, i had many . I asked God, "if you want me to find and follow you, show me how". This is where my journey began. He did! And i have many people i can ask when i have questions. Your question should be no offense to anyone, this is a blessing, because just asking the question should show us that you opened your mind on what God wants you to know, and he found this website for you to reach out.

First of all, Jesus is God, as well as being God's son. God did not create Jesus. Jesus was not a prophet. We do pray to God when we pray. God allowed Jesus to be put through the crusifixion as sacrifice so our sins could be forgiven. Also, the real torture of it was not the physical hardship but the fact that Jesus would be separated from his Father. I cannot explain how Jesus could be all human and all God at the same time. God cannot be explained. Jesus had all God's power because he was God.

You're asking a lot of questions. To be a human prophet is pretty easy (I mean a lot of people did it right?). To be the son of God - also not too much of a stretch right?

Why would God put his son through so much? Why does God do anything?

You know what you should do if you're really curious? Pick up the Teen Study Bible. Seriously. There are lots of translations that do a great job of explaining everything. And then if you have more specific questions, ask a priest/minister etc..

That's a good question. It is hard to understand how Jesus could be God, man and the Holy Spirit and I honestly don't think anyone could until we get to heaven.

But God let his son go through physical pain so He would know what its like to sin. At that moment when He was on the cross He had the entire world's sin on him. All the remorse and guilt, we all know what that's like.

He also asked God to forgive us because he saw we needed it. We are nothing without Him and Jesus didn't want us to go through the pain He was going through at that time because He loves us. I have no idea why He loves us but being saved is the greatest gift I've ever received.

According to Christian teaching, Jesus is the only One Who's ever been God Incarnate (God and man at the same time.) He can do that because He is God. We do worship God. Jesus Himself said we were not to worship Him, but only to worship the Father (God.) The line is very fine and fuzzy between worshiping and glorifying and praising and exalting and all those other things we Christians do for God (and Jesus) whenever we gather for a worship service. We are only to worship God the father, but God the Father has commanded us to exalt and glorify and praise jesus, too. It does get a little confusing sometimes, I must admit. God Whom we humans could always understand wouldn't be much of a God. He'd probably be a human creation. God the Creator has said that if anyone lacks wisdom, this person is to ask God for it. So, my best answer for your questions is to pray to God the Father (and/or Jesus and/or the Holy Spirit, if you prefer -- they all share each other's mail, so to speak) for the wisdom you need to understand these things. Then, go to the Scriptures and find your answers, or find someone (human) who can direct you to these answers in the Scriptures.

Someone at Stand to Reason would be a good person to ask. Check out www.str.org for some good answers to questions like this.

Before someone posts the John 3:16 (which by the way, original Greek translation does NOT have "only begotten son"), there are many other prophets of God Almighty who were called "Son of God"

"My Father and I are One"
Jesus used same exact words to his 12 desiples "You and I are one" then why don't Christian brothers and sisters also say those 12 desiples are God also and God is not one in 3 but 1+1+1+12=15 in one?

I believe that Jesus did in fact walk the earth, but just about everything else about him is fairy tales designed by a Patriarchal society to rule people, and to condemn all others who would disagree. Nothing was written while Jesus was alive, and only the last few years of his life are what is being preached today. It is said however, that Jesus never said that he was the son of God, he apparently said that he was the son of Man, and was proclaimed later by Simon Peter to be the Christ (Messiah). In the 5th Century AD, the council of the Nazarene headed by Emperor Constantine (a pagan until he died, and converted on his death bed), eliminated any works that were in existence that would take away from the Messiah Myth about Jesus. My last point is that different sects of Christianity disagree about each others interpretation of the "Bible" and are willing to condemn each other to Hellfire and Damnation, which once again sounds to me like licensed conceit.

there is Almighty God, there is Jesus Christ, and there is what's prevalent because the Holy Spirit. the three are separate and in person-friendly words 2 are religious 'persons'. The holy Spirit is merely God's capacity, what He makes use of to finish issues. it isn't a personality in its own proper. no better than electrical energy can act by utilizing itself. Jesus won't be able to be Almighty God himself because almighty God created Jesus because the first actual of his creations. Proverbs 8;22-31. Your very last statement is ideal. Almighty God can in person-friendly words be approached by his son, Jesus. no longer by the different source.
