a million. hundreds of meteors -- a brilliant number of cloth -- hit the Earth _every_ day. 2. something the size of a soccer stadium could be an asteroid, no longer a meteoroid. almost each and all of the asteroids which bypass on the threshold of Earth at the instant are standard and tracked, and none is on a collision direction with Earth. the only severe threat is from comets, that are unpredictable via fact they arrive out of the Oort Cloud. presently none are standard to be on a collision direction with Earth.

whoever answered the question to do with meters and not meteors should go back to school and learn that if you are hit by a gas or electricity meter, the one thing that happens is that your credits will run out immediately and you will see stars!

Depends how big the meter was and where it hit on the earth. If it was huge I quess it would destory the world people vegetation and water would disappear like a nuclear blast.

we are always at risk of being hit by a huge rock in space we are just floating along and meteors are constantly flying by the chances are slim but it could happen and if it did, it would be bad.
