It’s only reasonable that our loving Creator would provide a book of instruction and guidance for mankind. The Bible fills all our needs for wise direction.

The Bible has a common thread from Genesis through Revelation – a harmonious theme permeates the Bible. This theme is the vindication of God’s right to rule mankind and the realization of his loving purpose by means of his Kingdom.

Many people are overwhelmed when they first look through the Bible; it’s a big book, and some portions of it are not easy to understand. But if you were given a legal document outlining what you had to do in order to receive a valuable inheritance, wouldn’t you take the time to study it carefully? If you found certain parts of the document hard to understand, likely you’d get help from someone experienced in the law. Why not approach the Bible with a similar attitude? More is at stake than a material inheritance. (Acts 17:11) The knowledge of God can lead to everlasting life.

Yes . The point of the bible is to show us how to live our lives right 4 GOD so we can get 2 heaven . It also shows us what will happen if we dont . That isnt the only point . It shows how the world began, how our savior lived and died ,why some things are the way they are , and what will happen in the end times . If you look @ it from an author's point of view it's actually the best book in history . It has ,romance, comedy , tradgey ,war stories, horror stories, ghost stories, miracles, politics, science ,talking animals, witchcraft, history ,predictions ,and sooo much more . Don't believe me ?? Try reading it !! I suggest a devotional bible . You can get one from any christian bookstore for $20 or less . Ive even seen some @ Wal-Mart !! Devotional bibles are much easier 2 understand and they relate to teens really well. They even have stuff a/b cuttin yourself in them !!!(been there , done that ) I would write mose but im tired of typin !! GOD LOVES YOU !!!!!

The Bible talks about three things:
1. How to Love Yourself
2. How to Love Your Neighbor
3. How to Love God

Those 3 things, but God gives so many different examples about those things.
Also, the Old testament prepares us for the coming of Jesus
The New testament presents Jesus to us

It outlines the same thing, but in a lot of different ways

Come on guys, use your OWN WORDS and stop hiding behind the bible.

To answer your question, I believe the bible's point is to control the masses and keep them under control of the church. I would treat them more as guidelines and nothing else.

This is the whole point Miss Sorrow's:
1jo 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
1jo 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
Ga 4:5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Ga 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Ga 4:7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Ro 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Ro 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
Ro 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
Ro 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Ro 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Ro 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
Re 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Re 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
Re 2:27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
Re 2:28 And I will give him the morning star.
Joh 17:2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

It goes around in circles because humanities mistakes keep repeating themselves. If we would stop wandering in circles inthe desert and travel toward wholeness you would see clearer a point other the one you have found i.e. the point is stop doing the stupid things your ancestors did.

it has a point. the point is we do wrong agaist God from the beginning and God is going to punish us for it by death and hell, but He calls us to ask forgiveness of Him and be truely sorry for our sins and stop doing what is wrong and start following Him and living His way. Jesus makes this possible (forgiveness) by giving His life in our place, our death, (the wages for sin), or the result of sin. He takes it away. to do this ask Jesus into your life and be born again by the power of the Gospel (an actual real life event in your real life) if you do this in a prayer sincerely God will answer you!

Yes, the Bible has a point. If you haven't gotten it yet then words are not going to help you. It is a finger pointing to God...the finger is not God, but points to something greater than our finite minds. You can find out, or not...it's your choice.
