Good for you Gaby! As its been said before,

By what I have been researching on the subject, I think you made the right choice, although about making your country more free, is questionable. He is making the same promises as Fox did, but opposition in the Congress didn't help with those plans since PRI still dominates the Congress. His economic plan is much more favorable in terms of more foreign investments to create more jobs. Lopez Obrador has this "Savior" plan of more social programs and hand-outs that he thinks can reduce poverty. Poverty can only be reduced with a sustainable economic growth which leads to more job opportunities. I can't see how he visions people sitting around waiting for free government benefits from a Third World country that can barely meet its own government expenditures. But in Mexico, the poor believe in miracles and this guy has taken advantage of the majority of its underprivileged and uneducated citizens.

Me not being mexican, but am cuban, and you did a great choice, since manuel lopez obrador's electoral party is being financed by Hugo Chavez and Fidel castro, I don't think mexico needs to suffer more than it already is, I hope you country prospers, and grow financially so it wont depent on greedy bigots, mexico like other country has its good people and bad people, but the reason that a certain country critize mexico, is because 10 years ago the mexicans were exploited by the same people that state their jobs are being handed to the illigals, personally I have to tip my hat to the illigal mexican community, do not let no one put you down, even as illigal you have rights, and last but not least I hope calderon wins and your country prospers,

Calderon seems the best and would likely make business more interested in investing in your country. Obrador was thought a real contender, and I understand Mexico's bonds started trading lower as a result, because the international market thought he would be a poor money manager.
Hope you're celebrating tonight!

Yes, Felipe Calderón is the best option. I hope he wins. The other Lopez Obrador is really crazy, if he wins, I'm so sorry for your country.

Good for you! Congratulations on making the democratic process work. Several of my friends are involved in the elections in Mexico, and they, too, are hoping for a freer, saner country.
I do think, though, that Vincente Fox did an excellent job. He took on a very difficult role and had to make a LOT of changes. He wasn't able to do everything he wanted to, but he certainly was able to make a good start, which, hopefully, the new president will follow up on.
Salud!

Wouldn't know, but I certainly hope so. We could both use somebody who actually cares about making the people of Mexico's lives better so they want to stay there and make Mexico great instead of coming here to pick lettuce. Kind of a waste of brain power, if you ask me.

I don't know much about the politics in Mexico, but I do know that the rich people there are trying to keep the poor oppressed. I am praying for your country so that it will be a better place for everyone

Yes - best choice!

And for you anti-Fox folks, ummm... no president in Mexico can serve more than one term, so stop hating him because he's done. Besides, Mexico has finally stabilized because of his policies. So if you're against him and his policies, move to Cuba or Venezuela.
