I've been to Medicine wheel ceremonies and taken part in sweat lodge ceremonies. It has meant much more to me than the catholic church ever could. It is a way of keeping in touch with the sacred circle of life where each species is interdependent on all the others. Aho mitakuye oyasin....

I cant say I know what you are going through BUT, I do have a disfunctional famly too. I am 24 yrs it will always be a mystery why some families treat each other this way I was always the black sheep no one could even talk about me cause it was always bad or wring in thier eyes but now that I am grown I try not to take thier actions or comments toward me to heart. You have to talk to them and if they dont talk to you just go about your bussiness I bet you have friends that love you and would want to you. Surround yourself with "loving" people unfornately sometimes these people will NOT be family. Consintrate on your career and YOUR future time will tell if your family will want to be part of your life. Dont let them get you down to there immaturity show them you dont need to have them to succed. Be strong and let the peddy stuff go. life is too short to be dealing with teenager crap when you should be living it up with friends. Good luck and never look down.

Yes, I do use it. I drew the wheel in the ground when I was just a child and had never seen it before. I sought out my ancestors and began learning about it. I would write more but I have to take care of my kids right now so do some research and you will find.

I ALWAYS WONDERED WHY THE EUROPEANS DIDN'T AT LEAST TRY TO UNDERSTAND THE RELIGION OF THE 1ST PEOPLE----YOU AT LEAST WON'T HAVE SUCH IGNORANT ANSWERS----THE MEDICINE WHEEL WAS USED BY THE SHAMANS TO CURE THE SICK---REMEMBER ALOT OF OUR OWN MEDICINES COME FROM THE INDIANS--YOU ALL NEED TO PICK UP A FEW BOOKS AND LEARN SOMETHINGS ABOUT THE 1ST PEOPLES

It is a device to help you focus on your thoughts and calm you to help find the path you are looking for, just like prayer beads, candles or yoga.
