As a prison pastor I can assure you that prison converts do end up in jail again and again. Christianity is not magic. It is a one-to-one relationship with Jesus Christ. Spiritual growth occurs at different rates for each person. Some learn their lessons quickly, while others take a considerable amount of time to do so. Some people do not function well unless they are in a highly structured environment, like prison. This does not make them evil, it just means that they were not brought up properly and a set life style of rebellion has been programmed into their brain. As long as they stay in prison, they are peaceful, easily managed souls, and they do a good work for the Lord in working with the chaplain and witnessing to other inmates. Please do not call Christians liars. A person who makes a mistake is not a liar. God loves everyone, yes he loves you too. He has a position for everyone, some in prison and some out of prison. God bless you.

Mostly because Jailhouse Conversions are a dime a dozen the question is not wether a person who claims Christ will not fail again. Just accepting your salvation thru Christ doesn't make you perfect there is still alot of work that needs to be done (not towards salvation but towards becoming a better person) Just because one recieves Christ (in jail or out of it) doesn't mean you cannot screw up or even go to jail for false reasons. Paul went to jail AFTER he became a Christian. So I do not know anyone who says "Just become a Christian and you will not go to Jail" it is not supported in the Bible or in Real Life. HOWEVER if you are following Christ it usually makes is LESS likely you will be thrown in jail.

I'm a christian and I've never heard such a thing! Being a christian doesn't make us perfect. Unfortunately, we still sin and make mistakes. We have to ask forgiveness daily and strive with all our might not to repeat our mistakes. We pray daily to walk in His footsteps, but we will never be perfect, as He was. So, yes, most definitely, if someone breaks the law, Christian or not, they will or should go to jail. God bless you !

Christians believe that when you accept Jesus as your savior and become "saved", that you are filled with God's Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is there to help guide you in making decisions about what is right and what is wrong. Unfortunately, even Christians have free will to make their own choices, and sometimes they make the wrong ones ... just like everybody else.

I am a Christian and as far as I know ,just being a Christian is not enough to keep you out of jail again. If you do the crime ,you have to do the time, Christian or not.

i am a christian and i don't say that. Why don't u study modern history and learn about the attrocities of atheists and other unbelievers. To liar you must know you were wrong! Those who say that are not liars, but simply mistaken. If they knew they were wrong why do we need studies to tell us that.

I dont know that they have... i am a Christian and i have never said that... however, i believe that if a prisoner truly accepts God as his savior and lives the rest of his life following Gods teachings and examples, and he/she keeps his/her heart right with God... then i truly believe that his chances of screwing up again are slim to none.... But ya never really know... we are all human and have our temptations. Just like the temptation i have right now to slap you silly for calling me a liar

I don't know why they'd say that. Just because a person is a christian, it doesn't mean that he won't go back to jail if he sins again. If he sins, he has to pay for his crime! He might be forgiven by God, but, he still has to pay for his sin.
