I disagree, I don't think that you'll just know. I am in a great relationship that has a great foundation. Regardless of the fact that he may or may not be "the one," he loves me more than words could say and I love him the same. I think you will know if he is right for you when you both can just enjoy one another's company without any sexual hormones that may blind you with just infatuation. If you do things for him that you don't particularly like and he does things for you that he doesn't particularly like, and you do it for one another because you want to make the other person happy, then I think you have a good thing. When you have been through hard times and you can work that your problems by discussing them and really being interested and open to what the other person has to say been a have a good thing going for you. When there is a moment in your life when you step back and evaluate all your feelings and all the facts in your relationship and you can come out of that moment and know without a doubt in your heart that he is true to you and you know he would never leave your side, then I think you have a great man that will be your "one."

If you like him enough to be your boyfriend, then he's at least "the one" for right now. Only you know if you care about him enough to think in terms of a long-term relationship...and of course, he'd have to feel the same way about you. If you are asking the question, it implies you have doubts. Examine those doubts and discover why you have them. Is it because of traits of his, or issues of your own?
