once i get my spousal visa can i work right away,or do i have a waiting peroid?

You can work straight away, but you will pay 'emergency tax' which is a higher income tax rate. To pay the normal tax rate you require a National Insurance card/number. You can get this by going to the Tax office with all relevant documentation including your visa, birth/marriage certs. Hope this helps!

If you have your green card, you can begin work right away. I'm sure there must be some paper work filled after the nuptuals, and you should receive documents, however, I think that you must be married 2 years before you are considered a resident of the United States. Good Luck, on your marriage.

You can work immediately but will need to go to the Job centre for an interview to get your NI number... they will check your visa and marriage certificate.. I'm assuming you mean in the UK
