I find asking people questions on how they feel about the type of question being ask is more rewarding. Why should I praise a name or follow the teachings of someone who used wealthy women and lived off that money in order to be able to walk the Earth and spread their way of thought and claim doom on you if you don't follow.

Does it make sense to PRAISE HIM and then NOT follow His directives?? Or to follow their direction and NOT praise Him? If you praise someone, if you mean it and it is not phony balony, you will do as THEY do, right? No body says, OH yeah, that's smart, but I am content being ignorant! If you know it is right, then do it. The praise will be real then. You cannot divide these two one from the other.

They are equally important, and you really cannot do one without the other.

Say you decided to just follow his teachings, how could you do that and not praise his name?

How could you praise his name in all honesty of heart and mind and not follow his teachings. Cannot be done, its just that simple

More important to do good deeds, over all. It doesn't matter if they are gay or hate christ themselves, help. Brotherly love is all that matters, you have no idea how much gratification that gives to you and to all those you help. Praising Jesus? ... Now I woulnd't do that, but then again, I am an atheist.

Well, they're both important, but Christ really emphasizes following his commands. If we don't, and still praise him, it can send the wrong message to others

The most important thing is to believe that Jesus lived, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again!

For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, so that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
