I can only tell you which ones, based on my experience, had their good or bad points:

Fort Lewis, Washington: Loved being up there among the redwoods and cool, refreshing air.

Fort Poke: Hahahahahahaha!

White Sands Testing Grounds, New Mexico: Great, if you're into dry heat and millions of miles of desert.

Fort Hood, Texas: No base is ever a favorite when your a new recruit.

Long Bien, Viet Nam: Hahahahahahahaha!

Camp Holliway, Viet Nam: Again, hahahahahahaha!

The 32nd Street Naval Station in San Diego, CA. Never had a dull weekend. Only thing that bothered me were duty days on the weekend. But I still managed four Chargers home games a season. If not those, could always get in to see the Padres play. If those weren't up your alley, then there was Six Flags, Universal Studios, Disney, plus concerts galore. Or you could go to the beach. And the weather...My god I loved it there. Only ***** I have about it, was the price of living out in town.

I understand Macdill AFB in Tampa is pretty nice. Whatever base is in Key West is probably good, too. I haven't been stationed at any good posts in America.
