No. Does it not seem more likely that the abundance of divisive beliefs, serves to keep people from knowing the truth?
The fact that the greater number of those following, (no matter
what their religion), do not practice what they preach, also makes it very difficult to find the truth.
So, if someone is looking for reasons to say 'God is not real', they, (reasons), are easily found.
What many people do not understand about unbelievers is that virtually no proof will be good enough.
The same goes for those whose objective is to promote evolution.

No especially when the most "popular" religions (and by popular I mean, most well known and with the most followers worldwide) all have very similar references and stories, and all believe in ONE God. May it be God (Christians/Jews) or Allah (Muslims)... i.e.

So yes there are a lot of takes on the same thing but a lot can happen in thousands of years. Imagine playing the phone game where you tell someone a secret and by the time it gets back to you it's completely different... same concept.

And I'm not to say that I am advocating that there is or is not a god. But I don't believe that having so many religions proves that there is no God.

The fact that there are so many religions is only proof that people have not really come to know the One who created them. Glory be to God on High! 'If there is a God, everyone should believe in Him.' If frogs had wings, they wouldn't bump their a***. There IS a God, there is only ONE God, and soon you will meet Him face to face and KNOW. Until that moment of NOW, just play and enjoy. Ignorance is bliss.

No. It is free will to belive or not belive in God. for God has made this life a test. The correct answers are there but it does not mean you will always pick the right answer.

Like the story of BARBERS DON'T EXISIT

summary: man goes to barber and they wind up talking about God. The barber says he does not belive in God. he say you only just have to go out into the street to see he doesn't exist. if he existed would there be orphans out there or poor hungry people. "I just can't belive a loving God could tolerate that"

the man at the barber doesn't argue with the barber for he seems so set on this idea. So when the man is done with his trim he goes outside to see a shaggy old man with frilly crumply hair and a messy beard. He walks back up to the barber and says "Barbers don't exist" The barber is shcoked he says i am the barber I do exist i just cut ur hair. The man nods and says yes but I went out into the street and there is a man withthe worst hair. What barber would let people have hair like that.

The barber laughs and says OH I see I do exist its just that people don't come to me.

The other man laughs and says Exactly God does exist.. there is sooo much pain because not everyone comes to Him.

the end

"If Christianity is true, why are there so many denominations?"

In the early 1500s, a German monk named Martin Luther was so conscious of his sins, he spent up to six hours in the confessional. Through study of the Scriptures he found that salvation didn't come through anything he did, but simply through trusting in the finished work of the Cross of Jesus Christ. He listed the contradictions between what the Scriptures said, and what his church taught, and nailed his 95 Theses to the church door in Wittenberg, Germany. Martin Luther became the first to "protest" against the Roman church, and thus he became the father of the Protestant church. Since that split, there have been many disagreements about how much water one should baptize with, how to sing what and why, who should govern who, etc., causing thousands of splinter groups. Many of these groups are convinced that they are the only ones who are right. These have become known as Protestant "denominations." Despite the confusion, these churches subscribe to certain foundational beliefs such as the deity, the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Bible says, "...the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal - the Lord knows those that are His" (see 2 Timothy 2:19).

On the contrary, that is proof that there IS a God, and in the same way that nobody tries to counterfeit $3.00 bills because there isn't an original, so the fact that there ARE so many different religions prove there IS an "original" - you just gotta figure out which one it is.

By the way, don't get caught trying to buy something with counterfeit money - you might possibly get thrown in jail.

Likewise, don't try to approach God with one of the counterfeit religions, when there's only one that He will accept - that, too, will get you thrown in jail (er - hell).

You're asking two questions. The answer to the first one is no. So many religions only prove that people worship God in a different way. The answer to the second question is also no. People are incredibly stubborn and arrogant. God could actually come down and introduce himself to some people and they'd still deny him. How do you think he ended up crucified?

It just proves God gave human beings freedom of choice. Freedom to choose Him or deny Him. Freedom to worship Him or to not worship him. Freedom to be saved or freedom to be condemned. Knowing Him is not the real question for we all know God. Choosing to believe or not believe is really what is at stake. I believe.

Romans 2:12-15

12 All who have sinned without the Law will also perish without [regard to] the Law, and all who have sinned under the Law will be judged and condemned by the Law.

13 For it is not merely hearing the Law [read] that makes one righteous before God, but it is the doers of the Law who will be held guiltless and acquitted and justified.

14 When Gentiles who have not the [divine] Law do instinctively what the Law requires, they are a law to themselves, since they do not have the Law.

15 They show that the essential requirements of the Law are written in their hearts and are operating there, with which their consciences (sense of right and wrong) also bear witness; and their [moral] decisions (their arguments of reason, their condemning or approving thoughts) will accuse or perhaps defend and excuse [them]

What that fact proves is that there is a truth that is trying to be hid from the people of this world. Real truth is like finding a needle in a haystack, it is not the easiest thing to do. But when you come to know the truth, in mind and spirit you are liberated and are set apart in what kind of person you are. And no, not everyone believes truth, and the truth is not what the majority of people want to hear and agree with because of how it exposes things. But when you find the truth then you'll know it...just please don't deny it. God Bless.

I think it proves the exact opposite. The multitude of various religions out there, show that man, since the begining of time has been searching for God in a million different ways. Logic says that if there was no God, then men, from the begining of time would not have spent so much time, and energy, in so many different ways, trying to find him.
