because of the incredible corruption throughout mexico 40% of its citizens live below the poverty line and few foreign investors will put money into that country. thus, mexico exports its poverty problem to the U.S.A. after hearing Bush order 6,000 national guards to the southern border, mexico's foreign secretary Luis Ernesto Derbez THREATENED to immediatley start filing lawsuits through our consulates. enough is enough i say. we in america have a right to security and a right to expect our immigration laws to be inforced. MEXICO HAS AN OBLIGATION TO WORK WITH OUR NATIONAL GUARD, NOT SUE IT.

Mexico can get the H E -double-toothpicks OUT of the United States. The time has come for em to fly, or crash. Billions in aid, billions in giveaways, undue burden on american communities, people that have NO CLUE what country they're from, stuff's gotta change. If we can get everyone to move BACK to Mexico, then it's time to start talking about helping em with other stuff. But, not before. And, as much as ol' softie, Sen. Fatbody might cry about it, it's the best thing in the world for Mexico, and it won't be half-bad for america, either! LOL They had a huge voting campaign today, let's hope that it sees some good healthy reforms for Mexico. I love mexicans, I love mexican food, the music's ok, but this stuff's gotta STOP. 2 countries, good neighbors, getting along by mutual agreement etc...good fences make good neighbors...

Actually Mexico has absolutely no "obligation to work with" your National Guard. They are a Sovereign Nation, and do not have to answer to American politicians. I support enforcing border controls, but not at the cost of human lives. If any threat is being made, its America threatening the lives of those people in that 40% group, by preventing them form saving themselves. Americas humanitarian aid philosophy should extend beyond Iraq, to just south of the border.

Yes, I agree with you completely. Mexico is threatening the U.S. Perhaps not militarily, but we have most certainly already been infiltrated.

I find it hysterical that mexico's foreign secretary Luis Ernesto Derbez THREATENED to immediatley start filing lawsuits through our consulates. What exactly is he going to sue us for. Are we not allowed to have our own citizens on our own soil? We could have shoulder to shoulder people standing from one end to the other of the Mexican border on our side of the line and they wouldn't have DICK to say about it! Why is it we don't sue Mexico for not keeping their people on their own side of the line? Charge them one barrel of oil for ever illegal they don't keep from crossing into our territory. And we need to STOP giving citizen ship to every child that an illegal mother drops on our turf! I know that sound harsh, but if a mother knows that her infant will NOT recieve free healthcare, food, education and any other benifit that up to this point we have so generously given, she will be a lot less likely to risk her safety and that of her child by crossing in our nation illegaly to have it.

I'm sick of having my paycheck robbed every month of higher taxes to pay for the life expenses of people who are not even citizens of this country while my own government refuses to help my family out in times of hardship.

It's time our Government deals with illegal immigration as a matter of National Security and not some mosquito like nuesance we can just wave away.

The three biggest threats from Mexico are 1: drugs and 2: illegal immigrants and 3: illegal immigrants who smuggle drugs into the United States. It is time we said enough is enough and put a stop to it. There is nothing to stop us excepting politics and it's time we stopped that mess too. It's time we started standing up for what we believe, protecting our borders from drugs and illegals and care about us first. If there's any left over, then worry about the other countries of this world. We didn't create their messes, why should we be the ones to clean them up?

I don't have a problem with the Mexican people coming here because I would probably do the same thing, but what happened to all the jobs that NAFTA supposedly sucked out of the U.S.?

Big Business still doesn't get that people need a certain amount of money to survive, whether they're Mexican or American or Martian (just wait until THEY start coming).

Oh please...threatened by Mexico. That's a joke.

As far as the rest of your story...I don't think it makes them threatening. I think it makes us ignorant for doing nothing about it. Pull the boys out of Iraq and put them on our borders. We need to take care of our own country before we go trying to take care of others. I guess that makes me selfish. But I think not...I speak for those who care about this country and want something done. There is nothing wrong with immigration. It's the friggin' illegals. They are not immigrants. So if that makes me selfish...then so be it.

Don't you know that Mexico wants the U.S. to help protect it's, Mexico's, southern border???? Mexico has immigration laws. The way it is with them is we are allowed to enforce our laws, which are stricter than yours, but you better not enforce yours or we will cry foul....It is disgusting that any court would even bother to listen to their arguments over this issue...They just need to keep their countrymen....WE DON'T WANT THEM HERE ILLEGALLY. If the bleeding hearts in the U.S. want to live with an illegal so bad why don't they go over to another country illegally then they will have their wish......

We are not very good neighbors with one another are we?

What ever happened to 'love they neighbor?'

Mexico sees us as an imperialistic country and it will always see us this way. America sees Mexico as an opportunist which sends their problems, the poor, our way. Incidentally, we all must play fair, because honestly we need each other. Did you know that Mexico is one of America's leading crude oil supplier?

We both have to be nice to each other because it is in our best interests.
