Has anyone else felt this way? If so, what did you do? Do you still feel this way? (I witness, sing in a group and do other things as well)

Perhaps if you cut, paste, and post a whole bunch of different scriptures online, while telling everybody what they are doing to go to hell, it will help. There must be some reason so many folx do that. It couldn't possibly be because they don't have lives of their own, could it?

From a more sympathetic point of view... what could you possibly do to repay somebody for giving up his life so that you can live forever in paradise? No matter what you do it won't be enough. Just live the best you can. That is all God really expects from anybody.

Jesus said, "If you love me, feed my sheep." I'm thinking there may be some hungry people that could use your help.

Good luck and God bless.

If you believe Jesus died for YOUR sins and was resurrected on the 3rd day as a living God and you both love and fear him and keep his commandments, that is what Christ wants. To help others understand this, not just your daily works, like reading your Bible, or being kind, is what God wants. Remeber works are just evidence of your faith, not an end in themselves. Talk to others about Christ, don't be pushy, read your bible and pray everday. this will make God sing

I went on a foreign mission trip and after two days I was convinced that I just wasn't doing what God had sent me for. It really bothered me and I had to pray really hard about it. I wanted to quit but God kept putting obstacles in my path that wouldn't allow me to give up. I kept feeling this way for the whole trip. I told God in prayer that I was sorry for not fulfilling my work for Him. We had a couple of confessions of faith that we knew of but that was not what we wanted. We wanted results then, we wanted to see people file down the isle like they do at Billy Graham Crusades.

However, it is not what we want that we often see. Once we got back home reports started coming in that 50 people had made confessions of faith, then 50 more. We were devastated by the final results. We knew that God had worked through us to plant a lot of seeds and the harvest was taking place when He meant for it to. His will was that it happen in His timing which is the perfect timing. This way we weren't filled with pride but rather with a sense of humility knowing that God does things in His own time.

What I'm saying is that you keep doing what you are doing for God. You may not even know what good you are doing until you get to heaven and see these people that you have witnessed to or sung to or ministered to in other ways. But when we get to heaven we will see clearly and it will become apparent that our efforts weren't wasted. We will meet families and other people that we knew along the way and planted a seed. The Holy Spirit is the one that saves and points these people to Jesus. Just keep doing what you are doing and one day your efforts will become apparent.

Jesus loves you and knows what you are doing for His Glory and His Kingdom.

Christ preached that He loves everyone, and especially His own followers. That includes you. As long as you do the best that you are able to obey Him, He is satisfied. Remember that none of us is perfect - He doesn't expect perfection, just that we do our best. Show His love in all things, avoid hatred, and don't judge anyone else. If they need judging, God can handle that part. Those are the things Christ seemed to care the most about. Those are the things I believe He wanted His followers to care about.

Try to ask some questions to yourself....
1. Do you love people?
2. Do you feel you could die for Jesus?
3. Do you pray/read Bible enough?
4. Do you do what God want's you to do?
and there are thousand more things you could examine if you're unsure

If all answers are yes and you still think you're not doing enough I'd say talk to yer pastor about this...but trust me you're saved from yer sins...don't ever forget/doubt this

hmm maybe if people whould read through what thier religion has done they whould realize that christianity is a dead end road. even accepting Jesus means you accept this as not being an absurdity:
Christianity makes a mockery of God. At the same time that Christians claim to worship God as an omnipotent, omnipresent, omnibenevolent being, they make him out to be incompetent bumbler. Or worse. Simple forgiveness is beyond his capacities. God must "sacrifice himself to himself to change a rule he made himself!"

This is not only an absurdity, it is an essential absurdity. It is present in almost almost all forms of Christianity, and one can scarcely remove it and remain a Christian in anything but name. By definition, all Christians worship Christ - in some form - and most worship him as a saviour.

But what, exactly, is he saving us from? Though it varies from church to church, no matter what they call it, it's God himself. A hell created by God, a world fallen as a result of God's negligence, a separation from God imposed... by God.

"It is a counterfeit love that is contingent upon authority, punishment, or reward. True love is respect and admiration, compassion and kindness, freely given by a healthy, unafraid human being."
- Dan Barker, Losing Faith in Faith

Christianity certainly isn't the first religion to promote appeasement of its gods, and if it were merely another supernatural protection racket, it would be bad enough. Unfortunately, it doesn't stop there. Christians elevate appeasement to the realm of "personal relationship", transforming their religion into a true monstrosity.

This is the type of "relationship" that abused wives have with their husbands, that brainwashed hostages have with their captors. It is known in clinical circles as Stockholm Syndrome. Should it come as any surprise that the cries of the church, "The Bride of Christ" sound much like the cries of an abused wife attempting to protect her husband?

"He must beat me."
"I deserve it."
"He has no choice."
"It's for my own good."

These excuses don't work for human abusers, and they work even less well for God. For if God is omnipotent, he must have a choice. And if we are flawed, we are only flawed because that is the way he made us. (No excuses that we ruined his perfect creation. A truly perfect creation does not self-destruct.)

If the Christian God does exist - and I see no reason to believe that he does - he's not worthy of the name.

And that is the ultimate absurdity of Christianity.

I found out that one of satins favorite ploys is to try to make you live
under self condemnation. When convection is from God it is always
easy to understand and done in love.God is NEVER the author of confusion!
If you are a mother and have children if you love them and lead them

Yahoo provides a free ability to get on the Web. http://geocities.com/ . Write 3 or 4 paragraphes per page, link them together and then forward your link to everyone you can.

Or you can just sit there whining about how nobody cares.

Go to: My account and create a website. You may have to down load Java and allow pop up blockers but you are on your way. Also, it is smarter to have your information written out before you put it on your page(s).

Kayla,

Yes I do feel the same. I think somehow it is the struggle in my heart. I get so inspired after hearing the preacher, I need to do this, I need to do that, but fail to follow through, I believe it is God through the Holy Spirit telling me or rather reminding me, and I feel guilt, or that he wants me to be doing something in another area that will be more rewarding to glorify Him.
