Honestly it depends on how you pay for them If you pay cash for some reason they can be completed in as little as a year If you use insurance they seem to take 3 years ( the full benefit)

im getting 4 different appliances for 1 1/2 years then braces for another 1 1/2 years.

How long your braces are on depend on how bad your teeth position were to begin with and how compliant you are during the process. Generally speaking, because it is difficult to keep teeth clean with braces on, most people have them on for about 2 yrs or so to prevent possible gum diseases from developing. Hope this help.

Back in the 90's I had mine for 5 years....I got them off the DAY OF MY FIRST PROM!!! Sophmore year when I went with my boyfriend! It really varies with all people though!!! And nowadays they hardly do regular braces like I had to wear!!

It's been a few years, but my dental braces were on for over four years with many many visits to the orthodontist . . .but it was well worth the time and pain.

my first set for 4 years my second set (right now i have them) for 2 years, the most common is 20 months-30 months
