is this right that i will have to pay more to get my car back than i owe in child support all together

yes. If you let your child support payments slide to the point of owing $1,000 then you shouldn't be worried about your car at this point (unless you need it to make money).

Next time, keep up with the child support, because your kids are more important then any car.

ive never been there but i would say to try to borrow the 1000 against the car pay the dam support,,, and keep your car cause if you lose your ride then you wont be able to pay anything or get a loan if possibe and good luck

dam there are some bitter people in here......

Yes, you should have called child support or did a modification order if for some reason you were unable to keep up your payments. Now your screwed you let it go too long and it caught up w/ you-sorry. K

Stop whining about it and pay your child support. Get a second and third job and do everything you can to make your children's life better. If you don't like it then I suggest you keep your pants zipped up.

Not to be rude be sounds like you should have paid your child support!! You didn't realize they can take your license (because if you had transportation to your work then they feel that you should be able to pay), your taxes, and/or put you in jail for not paying.

Considering that you didn't include all the relevant info in your question, it's hard to answer it. Why do you have to "pay to get your car back?" Where is it? Why did it get taken away?
