Absolutely NOT! I am not saying that these women need to dress like they are dead, but they should NOT be dressing like they are in their teens. Just because spandex things come in your size does not mean that you should be wearing them, right? Same thing with age! Just because something comes in your size doesn't mean that you have the right to wear it. Or show it off....

I think that women of any age should dress fashionably especially if they have managed to maintain their shape. I don't agree with showing too much but what you are saying is belly and legs - what's the problem if its not offensive to others. Those younger wear less and less and you didn't mention that or those that wear their clothes 20 sizes too big. I think age discrimination is more of an issue that what is proper and/or decent. Give the "old gals" a break, allow them the choice, most will dress to impress rather than offend.

Aside from the insane women you see on the Maury Povich and Jerry Springer shows - you know the ones who embarrass their daughters - it is not proper to dress like you are a teenager. Nor is it proper to ask someone to stop living when they hit 50 years of age.

Hay..I'm 60. I don't go around showing by belly, but I have some great legs and like to show them off. I get lots of compliments when I wear a shirt that ends just at the knee. It's no less decent than it is for younger women.

No. If your that age and have a good body, you can show it off and still look respectable. I don't think teenage girls, or any girls should wear some of the stuff they do. It is just ridiculous to walk around with nothing on. But, to each his own, I guess. If we don't like it we don't have to look, right.

The problem with women who are 50-60 and dress like teenage girls, just show the rest of world how stupid they are.

I haven't read all 90+ answers but I kinda got the drift of the bulk of negative answers that have compiled.
My first reaction is was to how surprised I was that so many obviously young people criticized how anybody regardless of their age, dresses.
They themselves don't like dealing with adverse criticisms but were quick to comment on others.
How any of us dress is usually indicative of how we think and a great many older women just don't think older.
And, today, nature is on their side.
Go to the movies. How many older women still play sensual roles? Advertisers are using older, famous women to advertise the more sophisticate products,
Are younger people thinking that older women, or men for that matter, think or feel much differently about sensuality or sexuallity than they do? They'd be wrong. Sex,for the most part, I think only dies when you do.
Now, Your asking what do I think is proper or decent.?
I'm assuming you mean me, (as in what do I think) as each one us that answers, individually.
Ok than, it's my opinion that on some women it look's great. It show's a terrific outlook on life, and the condition we may hope to be in at their age.
While on some other's it just shows age.
But even than, it still shows a great attitude and possibly a person who simply doesn't give a damn about what any of us thinks is concidered,...
"what's proper and decent".
Isn't what's proper and decent as simple as what somebody or somebodys has deemed, somehow, to be "what's proper and decent"?
All to many of us are to quick to allow how we think, what we, believe, accept, and judge, by others.
Try to always remember that those others who are all to quick to preach morality, and decentcey, are, no more or less in touch with God as the rest of us and defficate exactly like we do.
So for me, regardless of what I may think, it's only my opinion, that for those who think and dress for themselves, and hurt no one,I give them a shout out loud,..
HIP, HIP AND HORAY

NO NO NO- I am 55 and when I see women my age trying to dress like a teenager it makes me sick. I actually feel very sorry for that woman because she must not be happy being herself, and can not except aging.
People who are lucky enough to live to grow older should thank God, and enjoy their older life, not try to stay a teenager. Let the teens be the teens.

Well it depends on what they look like. If they are flabby and have cellulite then that would be gross. But if they had major plastic surgery to look young again and you didn't think they were that old then it would be fine. Though if you can tell that they are 50 or 60 then they need to dress there age and not their shoe size.

No, it's not proper. I am 30 and I don't dress like a teenager. I think the way you present yourself says a lot about you.
