People cheat for certain things; immaturity, selfishness, insecurity.
Some cheat because they are immature(no matter how old they are) They always think there is something better "over there". They have some expectation that is not realized and figure they have no patience to work on making it better. Of they are just plain selfish. they want what they have but they want more. Kinda like greed.
then there are those who feel unwanted or needed, and or neglected by their partner so the "other man" or "Other women" gives them that feeling of being desired again.
Nearly 2 if not all of those traits are in cheaters. Also the cheaters fear loss over their desire to gain. Be it money they have to pay from ending a marriage, access to children, home and other finances. that is why they do not just end the relationship and go with who they are cheating with. Maybe they even fear that the relationship they have on the side will go bust so they do not want to leave their spouse(just incase). So, at least they will still have some physical pleasure even if lack luster, I guess better than none at all. But what it all comes down to in a nut shell is LACK OF COMMUNICATION. If partners were really able to sit, and talk, with out pointing blame. the problems that cause the union to grow cold could have been put to bed long before it festerd into one having felt the need to cheat. If you were in business you would not let a policy take the business to bankruptcy then have a staff meeting to fix it. Youhave staff meetings to fix problems before they are BIG problems. Why can't couples do that?

I think there are many reasons.
1) People in a relationship may not be the "settling" type. They are always out looking for "new" and "better" people to be with.
2) Sometimes people just like to have someone they can call there boyfriend or girlfriend. Its like they need someone to fall back on.
3) They want to see how far they can push the other person. They may cheat to test there boundaries with there partner to see how much they will put up with.

You know I am wondering the same thing myself. I just found out that my dad cheated on my mom for 17 years out of their 35 year relationship, what is really bad is no one would have ever known until my dad had circumstances he had to tell my mom. They seemed to have the perfect marriage and love for each other, even to my mom, they have been together since the fifth grade and they are 54 now. But in answer to your question I think people cheat because there is something wrong with them or their self confidence and it has nothing to do with who they are cheating on. Also because they are not meant to be loyal people which is very sad.

People cheat becuase at some point there brain shuts down and they dont think. They get into a relationship and then before they have time to break up with a person there is an opertuninty for them to do something with someone else. Maybe they just like the feeling of geting away with something like that. **** happens ...just go with it.

People cheat for all kinds of different reasons and it is not always because of sexual problems. The person feel sas though they are lacking something from their current relationship (emotions, physical, sexual) and in order to obtain that need, they cheat on the person that they are with in order to obtain it.

Some because they are simply sick, others they want to prove to themselves that are still desirable and cute, and the last ones, because they don't have the courage to say that this relationship or marriage is over, they go ahead and help themselves.
The three kind are deeply wrong.
Personally, I don't like cheaters no matter what's their excuses.

people cheat because there not satisfied, if you find someone that you can trust, and is loyal to you, you guys will have a blast and always be together, try it out, you might find that you like it.

Tell me about it,it seems like people have such high sex expections that they cant seem to be happy with one person for rest of their life,they want to explore something new and new and new.cheaters should kill themselves,

They think it's a 2 for 1 deal. IDK I've never cheated.
