I started learning French when I was in high school. Once I graduated I had no way to continue learning. I don't want to have to pay hundreds of dollars to take a class, but I haven't found any programs (etc) that actually teach you French either. Help please!

Try this website. You can't get cheaper than free.
Also, check out your local Menards. They always have software for 5.95. I know I saw Spanish--they may have French, too.

Step 1: Go to your local library and check out books and audiobooks on the subject.

Step 2: Absorb the language. Read. Watch movies (with subtitles at first).

Step 3: Practise the language. Go to chat rooms in French if you don't kno' people in real life who speak french.

Interesting note: If you learn Esperanto first (which is much easier), you will pick up French and other languages more quickly.

Check out tapes from the library and listen to them constantly. You will learn the language as any baby starts to learn it.
