Infectious mononucleosis; cancer; cystic fibrosis~~there are a number of childhood illnesses that could cause a student to be sick for a whole semester. These are the few I have experienced.

there are a lot of diseases that could cause someone to be sick for long periods of time including mono, cancers, blood disorders, eating disorders, and metabolic disorders. i wonder why you are asking this question. are you looking for a disease to come down with for a whole semester, or is one of your peers sick with something. if it is a peer, it's none of your business and you should concentrate on your own studies instead of wondering what this person has or wondering if they are faking it.

Well if they don't want to tell you
Does it matter
that child could have cancer
we don't know unless you ask the parent
and they tell you
But this will be rude right
