I agree that religious movies should have a PG rating...I think that they have the potential to be equally as harmful as the sex and violence in other movies because as a christian there are other christian denominations that do not teach the same thing that I believe. I was raised up with the "hellfire and brimstone" teaching that scared me into faith I want to be cautious on what theories my children are being raised up in

Creating controversy and making news is simply a modern ploy and marketing HYPE to reach a broader audience for both the filmmakers as well as the politicians involved.
In short, it's merely another CONSPIRACY [as is the overused 'win-win' scenario always being touted by mediocre strategists] to be featured in some headlines, to sell more tickets at the gate, and to gain more popularity from obscurity for both the film and the politicians themselves.
Combining Religion and Politics does make excellent fodder for tabloid type news...
Peace be with you!

Makes sense to me. Hollywood is big on the separation of church and state issue. I'm surprised they let the movie out at all.
A movie about Christians shouldn't even be playing in the same theater as more important movies. (Garfield 2, Superman Returns, Click, Nacho Libre, The Break Up, and Cars. Just to name a few)
We need to get this country back on the right track. On what this country was founded on. (Bipartisan politics, Badmouthing the Commander in Chief, Scaring people about the environment, and making up stories about what heroic things losers did in Vietnam. Just to name a few)
So who cares about a stupid movie about basketball? It's just a bunch of grown men dribbling in their shorts.
Who cares if they were Christians?
To me it just sounds like another movie about minorities. Christians are a minority. They'll be extinct in 10 years anyway and then we won't have to worry about crap like this anymore.

It is religion of the past and the present, is the root of all our troubles today. Mainly the Preachers, Imams, Priests views being rammed down their parishioners throats, and the Parishioners being gullible enough to take it as well.
Give up the use of Religion, to perpetrate evils of today and the past doings.

Personally I believe that in the near future we as American Christian
Citizens will be openly persecuted for naming the name of Jesus .We need to go to our congressmen and let our voices be heard at the polls next election.
I just pray that it is not to late already.
In Christ in Love,

Is this what my tax dollars are paying for? Not helping the environment, education, or helping the poor, but to that? I'm pissed. That is dumb. Wouldn't you think there are more important things Congress should be doing with my money (I need it and would really like it back)

I think exposing children to religion without parental guidence and/or consent is neglegent at best. Hence the "PG" aka "Parental Guidence Suggested" is entirely appropriate.

At one point in time, people who chose not to follow God were condemned and chastized. Now, people who chose to follow God are condemned and chastized.
