I have the original playstation 2, not the slimline version. I have a portable dvd player, I just need to know what to use to convert my cig lighter outlet to the ps2. I have seen some that plug directly in to the ps2 slimline but nothing on the original ps2.

Get a power inverter and then simpley install it like you would in the house. If you get one of those plug in the cigrette lighter power inverters you can cut the ends off and wire them directly to a power/ground connection just make sure that you connect it to a remote source or put a switch on it if you connect it to a constant power source.

get a 400 to 700 watts power inverter they're sold on pretty much every auto parts stores, but they are cheaper on ebay.

get a PS2 car adapter, if you cant find one of those, get a power inverter

they are called power convertor . I purchased one ...on ebay actually ....I live in canada so I know you can purchase them at the canadian tire stores here as well
