My dad did not cook that often, but when he DID get into the kitchen, he would create masterpieces of southern cuisine: fried catfish and hush puppies for Friday suppers, and ALWAYS a huge breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs, and sausage gravy and biscuits on Sunday mornings.........so DAD is my answer (sorry, Mom!! )

In my family, it is the guys that are the better cooks. My mom can, but had to help with her younger siblings that she did not do it much as us children got older. My dad now does most of the cooking and when my brother is home he takes over from all of us.

I think mostly moms cook better than dads but in cooking competitions guys always win.
