I met my fiance online and when i came to Cali to visit him he asked me to marry me and gave me a ring...while I was still here on vacation he took me to to Downtown Disney and when he went to put our names down for a table at Rainforest Cafe I snuck into a jewelry store there and surprised him with a silver band. He was so surprised that I am pretty sure he had tears in his eyes. SO GO FOR IT....get him one!

Never heard of it,...are you in a hurry to put a ring on his finger so it will be known that he is taken? Most guys I know don't wear their wedding ring so why give something that may never really be used? Actually a ring through their nose would be better then you can lead him around as well as make it known he is no longer available...

I gave my husband a Russian Wedding ring (rolling ring) in three tones of gold after he proposed. He loves it and wears it on one hand and his wedding band on the other. It's simple for a guy, yet kinda trendy too, never goes out of fashion. Don't know what others call it, but I added a link to show you.

No heard or known of the same, though all said I personally look at rings only as symbolizing ones love to another and would not be wrong if done so.

In India its a custom to give a ring to the guy when he proposes. But normally its only in match marriages not love marriages.

I gave my husband a ring after he proposed. Nothing really fancy, but a nice white gold ring with a diamond. why not give him one? He gave me one and didn't have to. He did it because he wanted to and because he loves me. Any girl who EXPECTS a ring is selfish. If you want to get a guy a ring then go for it.

After she says yes you should buy an engagement ring and set the date of the wedding. The future should be exciting and fun and new ...alll about love...and sharing ...a life together. JR

After my husband proposed and had asked my Dad for my hand in marriage, I gave him a gold ring with a tigers eye stone. He loved it! Its not expected, its unusual, and if your guy likes a little bling, or you just want to give him something to symbolize your love, this is a nice gesture. But it really shouldn't be expected, but I wanted to do it. I knew he loved tigers eye, it was a masculine looking ring, and he could tell others his fiance' gave it to him. I didn't do it to mark him as taken, I did it to please him and show him I was thinking of him!

You know i was thinking about this the other day. I think it should be something we do. I mean both the man and the woman are engaged so why is it that only the woman has the evidence?
