Buy a Chillow. It fits into a pillowcase, either on top of your normal pillow or on its own,and it stays cool throughout the night and keeps your head cool. All you have to do is fill it with water once and expel all the air in it every few weeks. It REALLY works. I used to sweat like a horse on hot nights, but don't anymore. It's amazing.
Don't just take my word for it, google for Chillow and read some of the reviews...

A fan can work pretty well. By circulating the air, it will allow your perspiration to evaporate, and therefore cool your body.
If that's not enough, you can buy an air conditioner that you'd place in your window, with the rear facing outside. It's more expensive, but it does a great job of cooling the entire room.
I use an air conditioner in my bedroom, which allows me to sleep much better. I use a fan in my office, and it keeps me pretty cool, but I noticed the air is still a little stuffy compared to my bedroom.
I'd start off with a fan, and see how that works.

Oh gosh I feel your pain... It's been sooo muggy and heavy these past few nights I couldnt sleep either. I'd suggest a fan but if you don't have one... sleep nude lol and only with light covers. Keep a glass of water on your bedside and every time you feel too warm rub some water over your arms and chest and wave them in the air, then dry off with a towel... all I can suggest bar an air conditioner!

Get a ceiling fan in your bedroom. If you wear anything in bed make it loose and flimsy. Then have a few voddy's ! (soz, dont know your age so you'd best make it chilled banana milk.....hey, dont put the vodka in it !!!!) Anyway, apart from the obvious, wer'e all sweating in this heat. If we got the sun all year round we would do like them in hot countries and tile all our floors and get A/C, but if the hot weather only lasts for a couple of months it isnt worth it is it.....Keep some tissues under your pillow, I do. Sweet dreams.

Take the duvet out of your duvet cover and just use the cover. Or make some kind of cold-water bottle!
