if any one is currently or has been a navy seal, i would appreciate a little insight from your side. going to the website and talking to recruiters doesnt help. i need someone who has actually experienced the training first hand. any advice or recommendations would greatly help. thanks all.

I can tell you I opted to train for it after normal Navy bootcamp back in the early 70's. I dropped out and rang the bell as that is all you had to do without any repercussions and went on to my normal duties. This happend part way through during the POW training where you have to go through simulated evade and capture exercises at Coranado. After capture I was buried in a box 24 hrs. (with an air tube), dunked under water until panic set in, beat with wet rolled up towels, etc. I'm not saying this happens to all but expect it and I do believe its necessary. Just decided it wasn't for me anymore. I have great respect for these guys.
