Jesus (cause he was in heaven watching it all) I would assume that NOBODY actually watched him hang himself it is a very rare psychopath who can watch someone kill themselves and not interfere but I am certain his body was found and a rope was around his neck. Could someone have faked that it was suicide? probably but what purpose would have been served by that? It would have suited Christianity as an INSTITUTION BETTER if Judas Had repented and come back to Christ then the story of his betrayal and repentance would have given many people a hope of coming back even after failure (much like the story of Peters Three Betrayals and eventual turn back are told)
EDIT the body was not found hanging it was found in a FIELD BELOW THE TREE Burst open. (I assume the tree was higher on a cliff from the description)

Do you suppose that after Judas hung himself he maybe disapeared so that noone would discover the body?
Dead bodies tell tales. Basic forensics.
Hey, there a dead guy hanging from this tree, what do you think happened?
Hmmm, maybe he hung himself?
Genius.

People found him on the tree dead and no one else had seen him after the time that he left to go hang himself. That's what I think.

I sold him the rope. You know, whatever did actually happen to Judas is unimportant, his part was done when he fulfilled his part of the prophecy by betraying Jesus and the disciples.

Well, God saw it, obviously. And since God wrote the Bible, there's no problem here, right?
(Or IS there...?)
