bro all i can say is you can't at least not by force. try not to stress out over being the best at everything.
when i go to work i just worry about doing my best at work. to do that i make sure my daughter will have a babysitter or her mother is watching her so i don't worry while I'm at work.
once I'm home i combine being a husband and father. if my wife is home I'll talk to her and spend time with her. my daughter is always wanting to get involved so that now combines the father and husband thing. usually it's just as simple as letting your child be close to you if your child want to. if not kids will be kids and find something to keep themselves occupied.
if i am home alone with my daughter then I'll let her play with her toys and try to sit back and relax a little. watch TV or go on line or even take a nap.
as for the sleep thing all situations are different all i could recommend is making sure there's a bed time so you can then go to sleep or be the husbanded then sleep.
if you are the sol provider please don't let your wife force extra stuff on you to do. after all you probably got enough to worry about. just explain that you have needs to. you also have your share of responsibility's.

Don't be materialistic. Live simply, so you don't have to work crazy hours; however, you could work extra to help the charities like Warren Buffet just did.

Make a list of your priorities in descending order. Then draw up a schedule, allotting your time to them in terms of their importance to you.

I found thousands of impractical solutions. I did my decisions, I prioritized them and what comes first comes first. to get this work you have to stop listening to any complaining from your wife or others.
