Hi,
I purchased a VideoNow player made by Hasbro last November for X-Mas for my little girl. I had read great reviews on this. Well she was able to use it 3 times on X-Mas and then it stopped working. I tried new batteries, resetting it, nothing worked. I wrote Hasbro, they sent me a postage paid label to send it back for an exchange.
I got the new one and it to was defective. It had weird lines running up and down through the screen. So I wrote Hasbro again, and they were great about it! They didn't ask me to send the second one back, they just shipped me a new one and the 3rd one works GREAT!
It was a pain, but it was worth it.

I purchased a mini dvd recorder for my husband a week before Father's Day two years ago, on eBay. The seller was very reputable and had his own eBay store. When I received the camera two weeks AFTER father's day, I was heartbroken to find out that it didn't work. My husband was sooo excited, and then when he attempted to record, it wouldn't work. I emailed the seller immediately and then took the camcorder to a repair shop. They told me that it would cost more to repair it than to buy a new one. I received an email from the seller claiming that the camcorder was a demo previously, and that's why I got such a good deal. I looked up the auction and saw nothing saying that it was used or a demo. Not to mention the fact that the "good deal" I got was $450! Mind you, this was not a $1000 camcorder. They sell at Walmart for $549.99. Once I confronted the seller with this, he offered to send me a brand new one in the box. Never got it, and never heard from him again. Pretty crappy.

There has been more than a dozen times that I have needed tools for my work as a motorcycle mechanic in a hurry. Too often the only available option has been the budget tools that are sold at various auto parts stores. Without exception all the tools I've bought that are made in China have failed very very quickly. One chain breaker failed after a single use. I know I'm not hard on tools uneccesarily either as I've had many of the same types of tools that I use every day that are still in very good working condition.
