because the GENERATION before them didn't teach them to respect themselves and to think with their brains instead of their body parts.

I don't know. It seems like that is the main focus with men when they are looking for a woman. No matter how manythings they say are important in the opposite sex, it all comes down to them wanting these things in the person so they can have casual sex with them. I guess it is probably the same way with some women too though

THE MEDIA

All the way...there is no other answer. TV raises children and it's what people look to for support. Magazines tell girls they have to look a certain way to get attention. Be a certain weight, wear a certain brand of makeup and clothing, etc. All teen magazines are filled with now are weight-loss tips and "how to get a great butt". Nothing on how to cope with stress, or anything of actual importance in teens' lives. Because most girls do what magazines and TV tells them, it's all most guys want to appreciate them for - "looking hot". Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with loving who you are. Looking pretty makes you feel good about yourself. But this doesn't have to be everywhere! All its doing is furthering stereotypes.

Sorry, but my generation also had a like minded group. It's human nature I guess, and we'll always have to deal with it.
