Yeah, that's the "god of love" for you, I'm afraid. Well, god himself isn't so bad, it's his little fan-club that I can't stand.
It's not as if the god himself wrote the rule-book, but everyone who had 5 minutes of time and enough army to justify it, kept adding rules into it. That's why it became the biggest collection of contradictions ever bound into a single book. Not even "the complete murphy's law" is as ridiculous.
