if you mean how should you keep your hair from falling OUT,
so many things can cause this. Hormone imbalences. malnutrition, fungal infections of the skin, allergies, stress...
Go get a good multivitamin with iron, at least to make sure it isnt from malnutrition.
you might want to see your doc.
If you mean how should you keep your hair from falling DOWN try bobby pins and hair clips. :P

If you have bald spots, go to a doctor.
If you're very stressed out, start meditating.
But if you just shed a lot, here's a few tips:
Don't wash your hair everyday, and when you do, used a clarifying shampoo. Stop using so many hair products...and if you can, avoid putting those products on your roots when you do use them. If you use a blowdryer or flattening iron, discontinue use for a few weeks, or use it much less than usual. Don't brush your hair when it's wet...and if you do, use a wide-toothed comb.
Usually the culprit in this situation is bad hair products. Try Paves shampoo, conditioner, and styling products, or invest in some organic hair products.
And this is just good advice to anybody: Once a week use pure oil...any kind of oil whether it be olive, almond, coconut, whatever. And massage it onto your scalp and leave it for atleast half and hour...and then shower. This will return your hair to it's healthiest state. Whether that means thicker, stronger, or shinier, it'll do the trick.
I've seen these miracles acheived many times. Be more careful with what touches your head and you're good to go!!

Reduce Hair Loss With A Thorough Head Massage"
A thorough massage is necessary to improve the blood circulation of the scalp. By massaging the scalp the hair follicles are stimulated and the texture of the hair is also enhanced. Massaging activates the nerves and a sense of calmness in the mind ensues. This therapy is useful for people who have routine stress.
Everyday spend about 5-10 minutes massaging your hair with your fingers. Move your fingers circularly all over the head starting from the temporal parts to the occi.....

Is there a lot falling out? Because I went through the same problem but when I went to the doctor he said it was natural to shed. There's a certain amount of hair you shed each day and due to other external factors like stress, you may shed even more. He said that it's only a real problem when you can start to see your scalp skin more, that's when you should start using hair growing stimulatior like Rogain. But Don't take my word for it, I think you should see a doctor because every situation is different.

youre hair shed snaturally, but use products with protein and add protein to your diet, red meats peanut butter, beans are good sources., Comb your hair gently and have it trimmed. but and dont stretch it by brushing it wet. too much hair loss can be a condition treatable by the Dr., if thats the case, make an appointment.
