There is no right answer for this. I think that it depends on how ya'lls friendship is. my best guy friend always asks me if I have plans, and then we go to the movies or to the mall or something. But then my boyfriends asks me if i have plans and we go to dinner and things... It really depends on the extent of your friendship... If ya'll are one of those "talking" friendships, then he most likely will be asking you on a date. If you are just one of the crew, it most likely is just a friendly invitation.
