Ok first of all.......why is "Candy" being so hard on you? Usually she's such a sweet girl. So why on earth would you want to bite her?? And the fact that you not only want to bite HER but also want to bite ranchers that are rather jolly??? Well that's just too "Brokeback Mountain" for me. *sigh* I suggest you find other habits to occupy your oral fixation.

Biting hard candy is not good for your teeth at all, you risk breaking a tooth. At the same time, sucking on a hard candy which is typically a sugary substance can cause cavities. I would avoid the hard candies as much as possible. Definitely try not to bite them, the same goes for ice and things of that nature.

very very bad...

I was driving down the road once, sucking on a cherry jolly rancher, when I was hit from behind by some butthole in a mustang. I chomped down on that candy and it cracked my entire back molar, all the way to the root. Talk about pain. Now I stay away from hard candy as much as possible....

It's bad for you to bite ice even. Causes tiny fissures in your teeth leading to breakage.
