"But I feel that the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child - a direct killing of the innocent child - murder by the mother herself. And if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another? How do we persuade a woman not to have an abortion? As always, we must persuade her with love, and we remind ourselves that love means to be willing to give until it hurts. Jesus gave even his life to love us. So the mother who is thinking of abortion, should be helped to love - that is, to give until it hurts her plans, or her free time, to respect the life of her child. The father of that child, whoever he is, must also give until it hurts. By abortion, the mother does not learn to love, but kills even her own child to solve her problems. And by abortion, the father is told that he does not have to take any responsibility at all for the child he has brought into the world. That father is likely to put other women into the same trouble. So abortion just leads to more abortion. Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching the people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want. That is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion. "

A gang raped woman is confused, exhausted, alone, afraid, humiliated, and is full of hatred towards the people who have commited the crime against her. She naturally is prone to reach a clouded decision out of such predicament and the wisest way for her at that very moment in order to get back at her attackers is to kill the child that resulted to such horrible experience. The anger has now been transmuted towards the innocent soul inside the womb.

I tried to be civil in my analysis in trying to reach the best decision in such situation assuming that one of my family members has been the victim. I still cannot accept the fact of putting the blame on the innocent child whose sin is to be in the wrong place for the wrong reason. I'm sure the child can be a different individual if raised in a loving home. I cannot deprive him of that right just because of hate. And this choice I belief makes me deserving to be called a Christian.

It would make a lot more sense if the Catholic church gave it's people the option of using condoms to give protection against unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases.

If a person's conscience tells them not to have an abortion nobody will force them to, the option should however be there for those who are not Catholics, for those who do not view a fetus as an independent human being.

A woman like Mother Teresa who never gave birth is in no position to lecture others on how they should control their own bodies.

Yes ,its true.Mother's love is the most unconditional love a peron can give but when that ceases, the love in mankind is reduced.People say about rape and all.I feel if these guys were guided well and had the most of their mother's unconditional love they wouldn't act this way to another woman, they would know to respect her well.Mother is the first teacher.

Mother Tesesa has (had) this annoying habit of getting most things right.

(It's just what a "woman who has just been gang-raped," amongst others, needs to hear.)

She is one individual whose faith i'd not in any respect doubt. She felt the discomfort and suffering of others, extremely that of youngsters. even as expressing doubts she became purely talking to herself out loud, i imagine. The Bible says Jesus on the pass requested God why God had forsaken him. this is totally human, this is all.
