it's a really nice place 2 live i had the opportunity 2 live there for 5 months, when i first arrived there i really loved it, when i saw its white landscapes, all the streets so aligned, beautiful people i mean i'm a mexican girl and the family who i lived with were really nice people that always were helping m in evrything i needed; also at my college, the Confederetion College there were king persons that helped us in every aspect.
The bad thing there i think is that there's no too much to do on winter because even i went skiing, snowshoing and i went to all that canadian activities, sometimes i felt as if the tv were our only friend... another thing is that going out is a reapiting activity because for example on wednesday roxy's, thursday is lakehead uni, friday roxy's, saturday armanis and sometimes is kind of boring.
But well there're lots of nice places to go museums, restaurants, parks, lots of parks... and i think is one of the most memorables places that i'll remember because my love, my baby, my everything went there and i spent the most awsome 5 days in my life, just because of that i think is the best place to go... i love u oswaldo

I lived there for 4 years while going to school, and just moved away in May. I really enjoyed it. I am originally from down near Toronto, and am used to all of the conveniences of City living and Thunder Bay has everything that you need. Good entertainment good restaurants, though not too many that are culturally stimulating. If you enjoy the outdoors...then you will love it for sure. Drive 5 minutes out of town and you are in fishing/camping heaven. An international airport gives you access to Toronto in 1 1/2 hours and the flights are decently priced. I would definately recommend the City.

Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada is a great place. The population is about 125,000 and is a clean, civilized city.
TBay has 'bad' parts of town like every city does. It also has modern schools, Lakehead University, also a major medical school, a new Health Sciences Centre, a world class auditorium, many restaurants, some art galleries, parklands, and sits on one of the largest freshwater lakes in the world, Lake Superior.

I have friends who lived in Toronto and went up to Thunder Bay for school and they liked it a lot. It's the only "major" city in that area so it has a lot of people but that probably means there is a lot to do there as well. I don't know how far away it is from the next major city but I know that it is at least an 8 hour drive to the next major city in Ontario. I think it might be closer to Winnipeg, Manitoba than anywhere else in Ontario.
