Well, I'm glad I'm Australian. Americans must be feeling ashamed right now.

Personally I find that act of evil disgusting and am glad I am Indian. Its sick and I hope those soldeirs receive the death
penelty. Not only have they made their own lives difficult
and killed an innocent family but also there is a report
that Bin Laden wants to avenge the death and kill more Americans so they have put the country in danger. As events like these keep coming the more I start to feel that it was the American way. The Marines there are thinking they can do whatever they want just because they are American.
I think the entire U.S armed forces should be asamed of
themselves right now. As for those evil men they deserve less mercy then demons.

Your mind seems made up already. So since you wish to make broad judgements, I guess Colorado is a bad place because two kids shot up theier high school?
Warmonger? No. Proud to help the people of Iraq rebuild into a new nation with elected leaders and freedoms for women they never had for a 1000 years. But I guess that is a bad thing? I assure you Saddam & family raped & murdered far more than these soliders could ever do. By the way, these are not proven charges. They are innocent till PROVEN guilty. That IS THE AMERICAN WAY!!!!!!!

First of all, report the whole story, not change words to reflect your view. Don't be adding Proud to an article, and entice hatred, and you wonder where people are misinformed? Look in the mirror.
This is it in its entirety.

BAGHDAD, Iraq - An influential Sunni organization in Iraq said Sunday that allegations U.S. soldiers raped an Iraqi woman, then killed her and her family were "a sign of shame to the American invaders."
U.S. officials have said a group of American soldiers entered the home of a Sunni family in the insurgent-ridden town of Mahmoudiya, south of Baghdad, raped and killed the woman, then set fire to her body and killed three of her family members in an apparent cover-up attempt.
The Sunni Association of Muslim Scholars condemned the alleged crimes and said "raping this girl then mutilating her is shameful and will remain as a sign of shame to American invaders."
The allegations threaten to stoke public anger in the wake of a series of other cases of U.S. troops accused of killing and abusing Iraqi civilians, although Iraqi media have so far paid little attention to the case.
The U.S. military has stressed it is taking the allegations seriously and a criminal investigation has been launched to determine who should stand trial.
"We can't undo anything that has happened, but we can and will hold accountable anybody found guilty of offenses," military spokesman Lt. Col. Barry Johnson said in an e-mail.
"Before that happens, we must be given time to conduct a thorough investigation into the facts of what occurred," he said. "The rule of law will prevail in this incident."
Iraq is a conservative, strongly religious society where many women are sheltered from contacts with males who are not family members.
"The mean behavior and terrible violations committed by the invaders show the truth of the ugly American face and shows that their claims of supporting humanity and liberation are false," said the Sunni association, a strong critic of U.S.-led efforts in Iraq.
"We call the world and all humanitarian organizations as witnesses to this ugly crime and urge them to face the American recklessness that went way too far," it added.
U.S. officials investigating the case said they knew of the deaths but thought the victims died as a result of sectarian violence. A local police official, Capt. Ihsan Abdul-Rahman, said Iraqi officials received a report March 13 alleging that American soldiers had killed the family in the Khasir Abyad district about 6 miles north of Mahmoudiya.

Here we go again. A few rotten apples caught in a war creating havoc on the entire forces for something that should never have happened in the first place.
How about the gangs in your own town doing the same thing? They are given alittle notice in a local newspaper, go to jail and all is forgotten. But let the same thing happen some where else in the world and all hell breaks loose.
What kind of support are you giving the thousands of others over there who are giving those people support rather then terrorizing them? Plus some dying to do it.
Why don't jerks like you wake up to the fact that your not supporting those troops but running each and every one of them into the ground by exploiting what afew idiots have done.

first of all... i heard this story.. something which im not proud of, but what source do you have that the soldiers really said that? Even if they did we don't let sh*t like this pass by and go unnoticed, they will for sure be dishonorably discharged from the military and they will prosecuted, its not like America sees this happen and then gives them a "high five" they will punish these man which is well due, your argument means nothing.. I can tell u this now.. Not one AMERICAN is PROUD that this happened and will be happy when they see justice brought against these men.
Oh and by the way Dr.Feelgood the president had nothing to do with this situation u idiot... you can't blame everything on him just cause hes is charge of your spolied a*s and keeps everything organze and lawful for you here in this country.. so go fly ur bush basher kite somewhere else where it may make sense

America did kill them and rape her. Soldiers in the American army did. Let's distinguish here. If a thousand priest are tending their flock and on disturbed priest violates one of the sheep. The baptist church didn't rape the sheep on priest did. War creates stress. People have mental problems. That is life. Take a mentally disturbed person and war time stress and you will get atrocities like this. If they are guilty they will be punished. That is the American way. Any comment a criminal with obvious mental problems makes isn't a verse being added to the constitution. It's a disturbed person acting in a disturbed manner. America didn't do this crime. Men serving in its army did. Stop using one crime to promote your contempt for the U.S. In addendum, the U.S. officials didn't say "Proud" Americans committed this crime. It said soldiers in its army did this. So, this is how you shout down the United States. Insurgents are murdering their own people. Beheading people who are over there trying to help that don't even serve in the military and one group of soldiers badly misbehaves. Ooooooh. It's funny. You take the tyrant that is killing everyone away. You build roads and schools. You give them a good power grid. You help them find freedom and a handful of soldiers who just lost friends in an attack snap and commit a war crime and suddenly all the good we have tried to do is forgotten. Go to hell.

You're blaming the President, the country, supportive people, the military...for an individual action?
Well, while you do so...Iraq has better water resources, more reliable power, more schools than ever, more people work for real pay, and their Army is nearly back to it's pre 1990 size.
Because of the militarys involved.
If you can read this - thank a teacher.
If you can read this in English, thank a soldier.

You worthless, steaming pile of dog poop! Do you really think that American rapists are an accurate representation of all American soldiers? Most of us are ashamed of their actions, and we want them punished.
Here is the difference between the U.S. and Saddam's Iraq. When Americans overstep the line and commit crimes, we actively and eagerly pursue those people, and we punish them.
If you'd ever served your country you'd know that. But it seems you do nothing but serve yourself.
In Saddam's Iraq, such behavior was sanctioned and committed by the government, itself.
There are murderers and rapists in every society, and for you to use such unfortunate events for your own political agenda is horrendous. People like you are no better than the rapists and murderers you use to grab the spotlight.

Where's your proof? Were you there? How many Iraqi's know enough about the english language that they could actually understand what a group of Americans would Shout. I think it would be nice if your leftist panty twisting party would for once let the soldiers alone. What happened the "innocent untill proven guilty?" Oh yea, you hate wars, but you LOVE abortion. 40 million children aborted in 32 years. Get over yourself, or move to islamabad.
