You will be able to find a job with your degree...one of the things about California is that we have SO many cultures and there are areas with in large cities that you will even be able to move that will be basically your culture..ex: Little Saigon or Chinatown..etc..etc..
I realize that in the Midwestern states it has not receive as many cultures yet as California, and I am sure you already realize if you have done any studying that California prices are WAY different than the Midwest. So..before I just picked up and moved I would sure come out here a few times and stay a length of time, have some back up cash to get you by and have a job lined up first. I know the banks are always looking for employee's might be a good place to start. Good luck!

Find a job that will relocate you. Check Monster and Career Builder, I've always had luck with those for my relocations.
The South sucks for diversity. They look at you like you're from another planet.
California (specifically, Los Angeles, San Fransisco and San Diego) are extremely diverse.
The cost of living is very high, compared to the South, so be prepared.

Are you looking for a job? or just asking if you should move to California? There are plenty of jobs in finance and marketing. I started my own marketing company. Why do you mention that your not American? How is that relevant to your question?

I don't know, but I do know that it's expensive to live in California. With high housing costs, auto fuel, taxes and whatever, you better aim high, with a job. Also, it wouldn't hurt for you to be able to speak Spanish (Mexican)--the Mexicans are taking over the whole place...
