For those who became Christians it's when Christ instituted the New Covenant. Jews continued it. Trouble is that back in Old testament times the Bible repeatedly talks about how Jews departed from His ways, to the point where He "divorced" them. The point was that they adopted certain pagan practices involving making blood sacrifices of gentile children. I think this is what led to the war between Judah (with Levi) and the other ten tribes of Israel. It's not nice, and hasn't stopped.

Jews were only allowed to sacrifice at their temple, which has since been destroyed...I think that was in like 70 AD. Christians have never had to do that because Jesus replaced those sacrifices with the sacrifice of his own life.

In order for the sacrifices to be done correctly it would require a Temple.
Not just any Temple either, King Solomons Temple.
Sacrifices had to be done at certain times, certain days and in a specified manner.
Christians no longer need to sacrifice as Jesus Christ was and is the Superior Sacrifice.

Jews havent accepted the sacrafice of the lamb, (Jesus Christ) and so thay are still goverend by the old law. So sacrafices are still a part of there religion. Christians Accept the Sacrafice of the lamb, witch is sufficent for all and thus not sacrafice is required. So to answer this part of your questions christians where no longer undre the law of sacrafice when Jesus was curcified.

All blood sacrifices were done away with when Our Father sent His only begotten Son, His Saviour, Jesus Christ to be sacrificed once and only once for the sins of all mankind. This is how much our Father loves you and everyone. Fantastic is it not. Praise Him today, won't you.

I don't know about animals, but Christians and Jews themselves are being slaughtered for their God. Usually by those who have no God.

Jews stopped offering sacrifices when there was no more temple to do it in! (Can't get a carwash if you don't have a car!)
When the temple returns, so will the sacrifices.
